I have been considering the word "endurance" lately. There are so many things in life that I have looked for an easy way out and in the end I haven't completed. How many times have I started a new routine, whether fitness, Bible study, educational, a book or even a hobby that I didn't see through to the end? I don't plan to answer that because there have been too many. I don't think I am too different than most people, but the truth is, I feel so much better when I finish what I have started. Don't you?
Merriam-Webster defines endurance as: the ability to do something difficult for a long time. The Bible verse that comes to mind lately is 2 Timothy 4:7 "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:" I don't know that I could really define this process as "difficult", but it has it's challenges at times. We are all a little crammed, tired, stretched, and more than a little anxious to live in our new house! We are growing together through this endeavor, but sometimes it is with a little pain and discomfort. God is good and He has continued to bless us above what we could ask or think!
Our house doesn't look too different on the outside (except the tons of weeds we have pulled lately - if you have driven by, please say you noticed!) but on the inside we have recently completed and passed inspections for rough HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. We are moving right along!
We think all of your endurance is doing just fine, we like to inspect the progress almost daily and we are especially impressed with the quality of the construction. I think having the General contractor on site during this construction is paying dividends. I know how tough this must be but we are all excited about your new home and you will all be living there sooner than you think.
